Great GreenBelt Cleanup
SATURDAY, March 16th, 2024. Cleanup: 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM!
Days are getting longer and warmer, nature is waking up, the air just smells better (we will not talk about pollen), and everyone’s favorite trail needs a good cleaning to get it ready for the new season!
The Great GreenBelt CleanUp is a special, one-day SPRING CLEANING event suitable for volunteers of all ages and abilities. GGCU is a great occasion for everyone to shake off the winter gloom, go outside, and pick up litter on the beautiful Carrollton GreenBelt with friends, family, or coworkers!
Adopt-A-Trail
The Great GreenBelt Cleanup serves as an unofficial start of the Adopt-A-Trail (AAT) season! AAT is KCB’s volunteer program that organizes year-round litter cleanups from Carrollton’s favorite outdoor space. Volunteers pick up litter and debris, clean signs, and report issues on their section on a once-a-month basis. By doing so, they help supplement the maintenance efforts of the City of Carrollton Parks Department. To learn more about adopting a section of the GreenBelt, visit the Adopt-A-Tail page.
GGCU is a great occasion for everyone to get into volunteering or pick up litter without a long-term commitment. Unlike Adopt-A-Trail or Adopt-A-Road, this is a one-day event!
Keep Carroll Beautiful provides all the cleanup supplies needed – registered groups can request helpful tools (trash grabbers and bag holders) but we will have plenty of trash bags and gloves for day-off signups!
Please note that we reserve the supplies and section assignments for REGISTERED groups.
