Keep Carroll Beautiful celebrates Earth Day in style with the SPRING Electronics Recycling Amnesty Event.
Carroll County, GA – The upcoming SPRING Electronics Recycling event will be held at two convenient locations on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2023, between 9 am and 1 pm. This year’s event will take place in the Southwire corporate parking lot, at 1 Southwire Drive in Carrollton, and at the Villa Rica V-PLEX facility, at 2200 Carrollton-Villa Rica Highway.Â
This event is the perfect opportunity to spring-clean closets and attics and clear out all broken, outdated, and unneeded electronic devices. The following items will be accepted at the event: cell and smartphones, tablets, analog phones, fax machines, gaming systems, computers, laptops, Chromebooks, and all computer accessories such as keyboards and speakers, printers, and screens. Cameras, camcorders, video cameras, radios, cassette players, cd&dvd players, speakers (with the exception of wood-cased speakers), and all cords and cables, including Christmas lights, will also be collected. While most TVs (CRT, LCD, LED) are accepted, KCB cannot collect projection, console, and wood-cased TVs at this event.
The SPRING E-Recycling event is not accepting large appliances, small appliances such as blenders, mixers, microwaves, vacuums, lamps of any type, table or ceiling fans, personal grooming items such as hair dryers, clippers, razors, curling irons; power tools or power tool batteries, thermostats and electric thermometers; and trash or any other recycling. This year’s SPRING E-Recycling event is sponsored by SLM Recycling, The Last Shall Be First Ministries, and KCB’s media partner – Gradick Communications. The event could not have been hosted without ongoing partnerships with Strong Sustainable Southwire, Carroll County Solid Waste, the City of Villa Rica, and Full Circle Recycling (Atlanta Recycling Solutions). The 2023 amnesty events are supported through grant funding from the Alice Huffard Richards Foundation, Carroll EMC Foundation, Community Foundation of West Georgia, and the Georgia EPD Recycling, Waste Reduction, and Diversion Grant. Keep Carroll Beautiful would like to extend our appreciation to our sponsors, partners, and individual donors for their generous support.
