E-Recycling is an amnesty collection event open to all Carroll County residents.
On Saturday, April 13th KCB hosted its bi-annual electronics recycling event! With the help of the community, we were able to collect a total of 21,975 pounds of electronics, including 153 TVs (48 CRT & 105 Flat), to be recycled. Thanks to our 26 volunteers the collection process was a breeze!
The Spring 2024 event was held in Carrollton (Southwire Corporate Campus) and Villa Rica (V-Plex) allowing us to provide our services to 261 vehicles through our drop-off line.
As always we would like to say a huge thank you to our hosts Strong, Sustainable Southwire, and the Villa Rica Parks & Recreation (V-Plex) for providing us the space needed to hold our event!
We extend our gratitude to our sponsors and partners Stong Sustainable Southwire, City of Villa Rica Carroll County, GA Carrollton, GA Advantage Office Solutions, Pilgrim’s Pride, Community Foundation of West Georgia, Carroll EMCFoundation, SLM Recycling, Magnum Paving, LLC, SLM Recycling, Amy L. Brown – State Farm Agent, GMS Planning, Advantage Office Solutions, and Gradick Communications. Through their support, we can offer this event FREE to the community.
If you were not able to make it to our Spring E-Recycling don’t fret we’ll have another opportunity for you to recycle your electronics at our Fall E-Recycling on Saturday, October 5th. For more information check out our E-Recycling event page.
