KCB’s Electronics Recycling (or E-Recycling) is an amnesty event held twice a year and open to all residents of Carroll County (check our Facebook Events Page for future events). During the event, participants drop off old, broken, and/or unusable electronics in a designated location, and KCB ships them off to Atlanta Recycling Solutions – a recycling facility specialized in breaking down old devices. ARS complies with federal and state environmental requirements, including Responsible Recycling (R2) Practices and EHSMS (Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System) standards. ARS also provides secure data destruction – all of the devices dropped off during the event are stored in locked&sealed containers until they are processed!
