Love Not Litter

Love Not Litter
As a new face to the Keep Carroll Beautiful family, I would like to use this first entry in the news letter to introduce myself and my organization to the Carroll Community! My name is Andrea Walker Mulkey and I am a student at the University of West Georgia studying towards my MA in Psychology, focusing on Community psychology and Ecopsychology. A Carrollton native, I had become increasingly perturbed by the amount of litter in our community and started a student organization, Love Not Litter, at UWG in hopes of having an impact on the beautification of Carroll County. Love Not Litter is a student volunteer-based organization (though anyone, including non-students are welcome!). We will function as Keep Carroll Beautiful’s link to the student body. We will team up with KCB at their events and will also host our own “Litter Lugs” throughout the community as well as educational events for students to raise awareness of litter and waste prevention. Look for us on the sides of the streets and if you have any suggestions for our clean up efforts or other ideas/info that could be of help, feel free to email me at lovenotlitter@gmail.com! We have an exciting year ahead and I cannot wait to share our accomplishments and ideas with you all!
