Recycling Waste Program

Keep Carroll Beautiful has a new recycling program to recycle used batteries, ballast, used thermostats, and intact fluorescent bulbs.  Drop off recycle materials at the Chamber of Commerce office in Carrollton, where separate containers are available for each type of material.

 All of the following recycling programs are located at:

    8:30-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

      Bulb Eater for Fluorescent Bulbs

    Properly dispose of this material to prevent its exposure to the environment. With the assistance of our new bulb eater from Aircycle Corporation, we can crush mercury containing fluorescent bulbs. Keep Carroll Beautiful will dispose of the bulbs under governmental EPA standards.

      Battery Recycling

    This is the container to place used AA, AAA, C, D, and 9-volt batteries. Acceptable types of dry cell batteries include alkaline, nickel, cadmium, nickel metal hydride, iron, zinc carbon, and silver.

Ballast Recycling

    Proper disposal of harmful electronics like ballast is often difficult to find. PCB's and other hazardous materials are found in ballast, so drop them in our special containers and allow us to properly dispose of them.

      Thermostat Recycling

    Bring in the broke thermostat you have left in the way at home to the designated container we provide to the public here at Keep Carroll Beautiful, and we will properly dispose of it within government regulations.

CFC Bulb Recycling

    Drop-off used compact fluorescent bulbs, CFC's, and the Chamber of Commerce or Carroll EMC.

Capri-Sun Packages

     These products are sent to the TerraCycle program where they are reused to make other items

 

 Bottle Caps

      We are accepting rigid plastic bottle caps these are the sent to a recycling program called Aveda

Nature Valley Granola Bar Wrappers

       Nature Valley has a preserve our parks program to help save our national parks and we want to help bring in your Nature Valley wrappers to help out
